OnePlus 7 Pro software update

The fifth, and certainly the last, Android 10 developer preview is being made available for OnePlus’ flagship models. Supposedly, the stable release is expected to arrive in OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro on the same day that Google intends to release for its Pixels, which would be on September 3. In the meantime, however, users will need to settle for this latest beta.

Despite being a trial version, it is already quite stable and has very few or no serious bugs. The only issues currently encountered are incompatibility with some specific apps and payments via Google Pay. Check out the changelog:

  • System functions improvement
  • System stability improvement
  • Added the OnePlus full-screen gestures
  • Based on Google Android 10 Beta 5 for OnePlus 7 and beta 6 for OnePlus 7 Pro
  • For DP4 users, you can upgrade via online OTA
  • From DP5, you can upgrade system via OTA to Open Beta

Known Issues

  • Application compatibility problems
  • Compatibility issues with Google Pay
  • Low probability of system lag and stability issues

Unfortunately, OnePlus has not confirmed when it will actually release Android 10 for its flagship models. However, it is believed that OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro should be unveiled with the latest version of the operating system. Now we can wait and see.
