The Indian market has received a new variant of the OnePlus 7 series, the OnePlus 7T. Following its tradition of launching an upgraded variant of flagship models in the second half of each year, OnePlus at the pop-up event announced its new “flagship killer”. The OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro was released earlier this year.

Design & Performance

The OnePlus 7T is redesigned and earned the same camera set as the One Plus 7 Pro. And how could it be any different, the Chinese company keeps hitting the same old key: the speed key. It promises an even smoother, smoother experience, and this is due to the adoption of 90Hz display on the cheaper model. But we also have several enhancements allied to the factory-shipped Android 10.

Today, I’m thrilled to share with you the latest entry to OnePlus’ product line-up – The OnePlus 7T. OnePlus always strives to deliver the best technology and ‘fast and smooth’ experience possible to its users. The OnePlus 7T is a combination of style and substance, with industry-leading technology including the super smooth 90 Hz display, and new triple-camera set-up, and an unmatched user experience.

Pete Lau – CEO, OnePlus

OxygenOS has always been synonymous with speed and OnePlus promises even more fluidity with OnePlus 7T. Like 7 Pro, it also comes with 90 Hz panel, but its resolution is still Full HD+, but now with more pixels (2400 x 1080) in 20:9 aspect ratio. The size also grew to 6.55 inches.

The 7T’s screen can reach a maximum brightness of 1000 nits, according to the manufacturer, while blocking 40% of blue light to make the device more comfortable to use in the dark. The sound part is also featured with powerful speakers and Dolby Atmos.

With more screen, more pixels and a higher refresh rate, there is concern about the battery. Unfortunately, the battery has grown by only 100 mAh compared to OnePlus 7. This means we may see a drop in battery life, but with Android 10 combined with OxygenOS 10, perhaps optimization will save us from a possible disappointment.
