OxygenOS for OnePlus 6 and 6T

OnePlus is preparing to make OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro official in the coming days, which are its first smartphones to arrive pre-loaded with Android 10 OS. OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro can now be upgraded to the new operating system version, and soon more models will receive the update.

Today, a new OxygenOS OTA update arrives for OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T. OxygenOS 9.0.17 update rolling out to the OnePlus 6T and OxygenOS 9.0.9 for OnePlus 6. In the changelog below we can see bug fixes and also a preparation for the arrival of future versions of the operating system.

Delivered versions can be identified by OxygenOS version numbers 9.0.17 and 9.0.9, weighing 113 MB. See the full changelog:

  • Fixed crash issue with Screen Recorder
  • Call function re-enabled after the network has been reset
  • This update will improve overall system performance to prepare for later releases.

The Chinese model of OnePlus 6 and 6T, which runs HydrogenOS, is expected to receive Android 10 later in October. But for the global version, there is no fixed date yet.

The new OxygenOS update is rolling out via OTA and will reach a small percentage of users today. A broader rollout will begin in a few days.
