Joining the 5G race, Vivo Mobiles have teased a new NEX-series smartphone with 5G connectivity support, the Vivo NEX 3 5G. It’ll be the successor to the Vivo NEX 2 dual-display edition. The company has posted an image on Chinese social media Weibo confirming September 16 as the launch date.
A couple of days back, Vivo’s product line general manager Lance also shared few images revealing that the Vivo NEX 3 5G will have a new design of custom camera functions. The images have information about the new camera interface layout and a feature that adds effects to the screen.

The new features of NEX 3 will allow the addition of effects on the display for different uses, such as message notifications, calls, among other options. There is also a video which has lighting whose ripples are customized to the rhythm of the music, showing a very interesting use for those who are a fan of this type of feature, showing a cell phone immersion in the beat of the music.
However, the company made it clear that the notifications will have a softer illumination than the one shown with synchronized sound so that it will not disturb the view. Check out the teaser images of the NEX 3 5G (credit: Weibo).
In addition to this, the new layout of the device’s camera interface has been shown making it clear that more simplified work has been done than applied in previous models and allowing the customization of the functions shown on the screen, adapting the application of camera to the liking of each user.
Let’s wait for the event on September 16 to see the handset.
