Xiaomi Teases the Global Launch of Redmi Note 8 Series, India Launch Expected in October

Redmi Note 8 Series launch teaser

Last month, Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi launched the successor to the Redmi Note 7 series, the Redmi Note 8 series in China. Now the company teases the global launch of the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro handsets. Redmi fans are eagerly waiting for these devices as they pack impressive specs. The Note 8 Pro sports a 64MP primary camera sensor at the rear.

As far as the India launch of the Redmi Note 8 series is concerned, a couple of weeks ago we shared that the launch may delay for by 2-3 months. Reason for the delay is the certification process, as said by the Xiaomi India Managing Director and Global VP Manu Kumar Jain. But now, when the teaser is out we can expect an early arrival of the series.

Check out the official tweet below:

The tweet is from the Xiaomi Global Twitter account, while the Xiaomi India has not tweeted anything yet. So we still can’t say the exact timing of the India launch.

Both the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro came with a quad-camera setup. The primary camera sensor in the Note 8 is 48MP and in the Pro variant, there is a 64MP camera. This variant is powered by MediaTek Helio G90T processor with Mali G-76 GPU and is available in 6GB or 8GB RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB internal storage options.

Now, we’ve to see what RAM and storage option the company brings in the Indian market.
