Google Stadia finally has an official debut date. During the Made By Google 2019 event took place in New York, it was announced that – as predicted by many parties – Google’s new streaming gaming service “Google Stadia” will arrive on November 19, 2019, all over the world.
However, it’s important to note that despite being a Google’s system, the platform’s compatibility with Android TV will only arrive with Android 11 in the second half of 2020. In addition, it has now been revealed that the control of Stadia, basically the only de facto hardware of this endeavor, will only have wireless connectivity at launch with the Chromecast Ultra.
So anyone who chooses to play on a smartphone, tablet or desktop through Chrome will need to connect the joystick via a USB interface. Luckily for those who will receive Stadia on November 19, the control will already be sold with a USB-A / USB-C cable.
Users who have pre-ordered and received the Founder’s Edition of Google Stadia will be able to buy and play their favorite games on TV, laptops, desktop PCs and some tablets and smartphones from 6.00 pm on November 19th.
The catalog that will be available at debut includes games such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and Mortal Kombat 11, but, taking advantage of the three free months of Stadia Pro, also included in its Premiere Edition, you will have access to Destiny 2: The Collection.
Google has made it clear that the Stader’s Founder’s Editions and Premiere Editions will be shipped according to the purchase order in the coming weeks.
