Nokia 8.1 Starts Receiving Android 10 Which Brings Dark theme, Gesture Navigation & more

Android 10 on Nokia 8.1

Known for how quickly it delivers software updates to its devices, HMD Global has once again done justice to its fame. That’s because the company started releasing Android 10 update on its Nokia 8.1 smartphone. The information was revealed by the company’s product chief, Juho Sarvikas, through his official Twitter account.

Not all devices should receive the update today. This is because the update will be distributed slowly and gradually. Anyway, this is the first mobile phone of the brand to have the latest software, which brings new navigation gestures, more controls for privacy, dark mode and improvements to Digital Wellbeing.

The update also brings Google Security Patch for the month of September and Smart Reply.

The Nokia 8.1 was launched in India in December 2018 running Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. The handset features 6.18-inch Full-HD+ PureDisplay, dual rear cameras, 20-megapixel selfie camera and Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor.

So stay patient, the update will reach every eligible handset in the coming days.
