Known for manufacturing and selling mid-range smartphones in India, Realme recently decided to adopt a new strategy to enter the high-end market. With this, the company launched the Realme X2 Pro and even took the device to the European market.
Now, looking to have a competitor for the Redmi K30, Oppo’s subsidiary has confirmed that it will soon announce the Realme X50. This handset should be the first of its kind with support for the new 5G network.
In a post on the Weibo social network, Xu Qi Chase, Realme’s product manager, posted the first X50 5G teaser. The poster shows an interesting detail. This smartphone will also have a punch-hole camera display to accommodate two front cameras.
Another important point of the teaser is the presence of support for both 5G bands (SA / NSA). However, it is not yet clear which processor the brand will use on the Realme X50. This is because the executive said that the next details, including the release date, will only be revealed at “the right time”.
Anyway, it is noteworthy that Realme’s first 5G smartphone should hit the market with the same segment as its competitors. This can be confirmed by looking at the Redmi K30 and Huawei Nova 6. Both will come out of the box with 5G and screen in the hole to serve two front cameras.
However, the biggest draw of the Realme handset must be its final price. This is because the brand is known to offer a great cost-benefit to the consumer.
