A few days back, we saw the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite renders and also the concept images revealing the different display sizes of Galaxy S10 Lite, S10, S10 Plus. And now when we know that the South Korean tech giant is preparing to make official not only the Galaxy S10 Lite but also the Note 10 Lite, new information appears.
Current speculations hinted a possible December release, but recently an article published by The Korean Herald news portal suggests that Lite versions should not reach the market until 2020. Samsung may showcase both handsets at the beginning of the year, during CES 2020.
Unfortunately, the publication makes it unclear where the information was taken. It may have leaked from some internal source or, at worst, is just a guess. Anyway, this information even makes sense if we stop to analyze some details.
Both devices are quite emblematic, so it would be appropriate to take the stage of an event like CES. Another important detail is that postponing both releases until January 2020 could fit the arrival of the Galaxy S11 and Galaxy Fold 2 without major problems.
We also have to take into consideration that renders of both models have already leaked on the web, which is often a strong indication of imminent release.
As its name implies, the Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite will hit stores as cheaper variants of the Samsung’s 2019 flagships. Even bearing the Lite nomenclature, some specifications are better than those found in the “original” versions of the products.
