Vivo has launched a new mid-range smartphone with 5G connectivity, the Vivo Y51s 5G. This phone is announced with a focus on battery, storage, and 5G connectivity. However, there are many other options in the market and some are incoming. So it’ll be very competitive for Vivo to market this device.
In terms of design, there is nothing new and shares exactly the same body as the recently announced iQOO U1, also including some identical specifications. The front has a punch-hole display and three cameras at the rear with an LED flash.
On the side, there is a fingerprint sensor integrated with the power button. The main camera sensor at the rear is 48MP. let’s have a look at the technical specifications:
Vivo Y51s 5G Specifications
The Vivo Y51s 5G comes with a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display offering a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels at a pixel density of 394 pp. The phone is driven by a 2GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 880 processor with 6GB of RAM and 128 of storage.
The phone packs a 4,500 mAh battery and a set of three cameras at the rear with a 48MP main sensor and two other 2MP sensors each. The front has an 8MP front camera with an f/2.05 aperture. It offers connectivity options like Wi-Fi, GPS, USB OTG, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G with active 4G on both SIM cards. It’s also 5G ready.
Pricing and Availability
Right now, the phone is available only in China at a suggested price of 1,798 Yuan (around Rs. 19,100). At the moment there is no information if/when the phone will be available in other markets or not.
