Nintendo Delays Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 Until 2023

Nintendo delays the Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel to Q2 2023. The game that was announced in 2019 and would be the main Nintendo Switch release this year was slated to come out in late 2022.

“We previously announced that we were targeting a 2022 release for this game,” Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma said in a video released on Tuesday.

“However, we’ve decided to extend our development time a little bit and move the release to Spring 2023. For those of you who were looking forward to a release this year, we apologize.” Check out the video below:

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 delay also makes Elden Ring’s path to 2022’s Game of the Year acclaim easier, as it’s a crowd favorite to date and likely the only one with weight to beat. ahead of the Nintendo epic.
