Android 12: List of Smartphones to Get the First Beta

During the first day of the I/O 2021 event held by Google yesterday afternoon, May 18, the company revealed great important details regarding the future of the search platform. And, of course, also presented the new Android 12 with the well-deserved redesign of platform.

Still at the event, we heard about the companies that would participate in the first wave of testing of the operating system. Brands like Xiaomi, Oppo, OnePlus offering the beta version on some of their devices, but big manufacturers like Samsung being left out.

The Samsung is a curious example since, while the company is working with the Google side to develop the new Android Wear for smart watches, their smartphones will not be eligible for the Android beta 12. The choice is for the greater focus on One UI, a customized interface that should be launched in beta in the coming months with the new Android 12.

The largest number of smartphones that will be upgraded to the first beta of Android 12 is with Xiaomi, with the main Mi 11 series phones receiving the update, including even two variants of the Mi 11i , the Mi 11X and the Redmi K40 Pro.

OnePlus is second with the two members of the OnePlus 9 series. Newly announced models such as Asus’ Zenfone 8 and ZTE’s Axon 30 Ultra 5G are also part of the first wave, in addition to smartphones from Oppo, vivo, Realme, Sharp, Nokia, Tecno and TCL. Check out the full list below.
