In response to one user, Apple Support wrote: “We understand you’re unable to hear sound in Instagram, while your iPhone is in Silent mode. We’ll be happy to help. Have you had a chance to see if there’s an update available for Instagram in the App Store? Please DM us that information.”
How to Fix Instagram Stories Audio (no sound) Issue?
This issue mainly only occurs when the silent mode is active on the iPhone. So you must disable the silent mode on the iPhone running iOS 15 to check the issue is solved or not?
Here are a few things you can try to fix the issue if Instagram is missing the sound after the iOS 15 update.
- Turn off the ‘Silent’ mode on your iPhone or iPad and try playing a video on Instagram
- Update your Instagram app to the latest version
- Close down the app and open it again
- Restart your device and try again
