Hyenas is a New Multiplayer Game From Sega

Sega this week announced Hyenas, a multiplayer shooter for consoles and PC. The game is a project that was being developed for quite some time by the Creative Assembly studio, the same studio behind the Total War franchise.

The game is a project that was being developed for quite some time by the Creative Assembly studio, the same studio behind the Total War franchise.

During a live stream on Wednesday (June 22), Sega presented its new game called Hyenas, described as “a multiplayer and multi-team heist game”, which shows five teams of three members fighting each other to steal items in a vast spacecraft with zero gravity areas.

There are five teams of three in a vast spaceship with security devices and equipment against our anti-heroes, the Hyenas, who are pirates who try to make a name for themselves across the galaxy, shooting, sabotaging ships and stealing riches.

The game’s story sees Earth’s wealthiest inhabitants fleeing to Mars, destroying Earth in the process and leaving what’s left “in a floating quagmire”. The rich send several ships back to Earth to collect the “pop culture” treasure they lost to sell to their customers.

The Hyenas’ job is to attack these ships and steal the goods, battling AI-controlled soldiers and teams of other players to get to the vaults.

From the description and previews, we can see that the game will be filled with references to pop culture, containing not only Sega franchises but also Fall Guys, League of Legends, Back to the Future and much more.

More details on gameplay and each character’s classes are expected to be released in the future. The game is slated for release in 2023 on Xbox Series, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC and will not be a free game.
