Microsoft Bing and Edge Gets AI Capabilities With ChatGPT

Microsoft has confirmed that OpenAI’s artificial intelligence ChatGPT will be used in Microsoft Edge and Bing. Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella announced the news and this integration will bring interesting functions soon.

Starting with Bing, Nadella says that the idea is to revolutionize search, as this tool has been stagnant for many years and deserves to gain a new, more intuitive format. The integration of ChatGPT with Bing will support searches of up to 1,000 characters. It will allow users to search in more detail for what they want using natural language questions instead of terms as we do in their competitors.

The answer will also be provided in natural language, this means that you will not have to open any links to get the direct information.

In addition, Bing will now have a chat function, where it will be possible to talk to the AI just as it is already done with ChatGPT, but this time it will be powered by the knowledge cataloged by the search engine, providing natural answers and accurate information by through the 3.5 templates of ChatGPT called “Prometheus”.

The integration of ChatGPT with Microsoft Edge includes a new tool to compose texts using the artificial intelligence of ChatGPT with conversation options and adjustments to define the format, tone, and size of the result.

The new Microsoft Bing with ChatGPT will be available today as a “Limited Preview for Desktop Users” on Bing.com. Users will be able to try limited queries, but you’ll be able to subscribe for full access in the future. Microsoft Edge with the new tools will be released in the coming weeks.
