Taking advantage of the announcement of the new GPUs of the GeForce RTX 30 series for notebooks, Dell announces its new devices offering support for the new 11th-gen Intel Core H series processors. The new Dell XPS and Alienware Notebooks also offer RTX 30 GPUs. The powerful and elegant XPS series and the new Alienware models, designed specifically for gamers.
Dell XPS
The new Dell XPS 15 and XPS 17 offer the design and body we already know. Dell updates the internal components, including the 11th generation Intel Core processors in the Tiger Lake H series alongside the new RTX 30 GPUs for notebooks.
Both models can be configured with the Core i5-11400H six-core, Core i7-11800H eight-core, or Core i9-11900H, with the XPS 17 allowing users to upgrade to a fourth version offering the most powerful Intel Core i9- 11980HK, which offers eight cores with a maximum clock speed of 5.0 GHz. The company claims that the latter model is “the most powerful XPS laptop of all.”
Regarding the GPU options, the XPS 15 can be configured with the new RTX 3050 or RTX 3050 Ti (45W). While the XPS 17 offers the 60W RTX 3050 and the 70W RTX 3060.
Dell Alienware
As for the models designed for gamers, Dell introduces new models Alienware G15 and Alienware m15 R6. They come with the same hardware enhancements as in the XPS series: new Intel Core processors 11th generation H-Series, and new GeForce RTX 30.
The company does not disclose which GPU model the new notebooks will offer, but it is expected that the G15 will bet on the intermediate boards RTX 3050 or RTX 3050 Ti, with the m15 R6 offering more power. Notebooks are also expected to offer a high refresh rate display, offering 120 Hz and up to 160 Hz on the Alienware G15 with a Full HD resolution panel.
Dell also took advantage of the announcement to confirm the design of the first notebook in the new Alienware X line with the Alienware X17 (see below). The main details about the model will be announced on June 1.
Dell XPS and Alienware Notebooks Price and Availability
The Dell XPS 15 starts at $ 1,199, while the XPS 17 starts at $ 1,399. Dell has not revealed when the XPS series models will be available.
Models in the Alienware series, on the other hand, offer more affordable prices for entry-level models. The G15 launching on June 3 starting at $ 799. The M15 R6 had no price or release announced.
