New Version of Xbox App for Windows Released

Microsoft has released a new preview version of the Xbox app for Windows 10/11 for Xbox Insider Xbox participants. It has navigation optimizations. The company recently released a new update for Xbox with improvements to Quick Resume and remapping of the Share button.

Version 2203.1000.21.0 changes the way a user uses navigation features in the Xbox app. The first feature is a fixed bar on the left with five sections: Game Pass, Library, Cloud Gaming, Communities, and Store, while the current stable version of the Xbox app for Windows has the sections pinned to the top of the window, next to the search button.

Below the main sections, the player will find the list of installed games and another button to access Game Pass, which allows access to all titles in the catalog available for PC. Another change is that the search field is now permanent. It is no longer minimized to a small button, allowing the user to search for games in any section of the app.

Microsoft also tweaked the notifications. She moved the profile and icons from right to left. That way, you can click on your name to see the main menu of settings, support, feedback, etc.
