RedmiBook Pro 2022 Comes With AMD Ryzen 6000

Xiaomi launched the new generation of its professional notebooks. Following the Redmi Note 11T Pro announcement, the company unveiled the RedmiBook Pro 2022 “Ryzen Edition” lineup with the latest-generation processors from AMD, dedicated graphics, and screens that are advantageous for content producers.

The RedmiBook Pro 2022 Ryzen Edition is offered in two screen size options — 14 and 15.6 inches — identified by the trade names “RedmiBook Pro 14” or “RedmiBook Pro 15”, respectively. Although it focuses on professionals, both variants are equipped with the “Home” version of Windows 11.

RedmiBook Pro 2022 Features

RedmiBook Pro 14 2022 with a 14-inch display has peak brightness at 300 nits with 1000:1 contrast, DC dimming, and 100% coverage of the sRGB color gamut with Delta E < 1.5. The display has a 2.5K resolution (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) and reaches refresh rates of 120 Hz, which can be reduced to 90 Hz or 60 Hz to save energy.

RedmiBook Pro 15 2022, with a 15.6-inch display, evolves to peak brightness at 400 nits with a 1500:1 contrast. Given its high resolution of 3,200 x 2,000 pixels, the display’s refresh rate is limited to 90 Hz, but can also be reduced to 60 Hz.

Notebooks have light sensors that allow automatic adjustment of the brightness level in different lighting conditions, but for those who prefer to configure it manually, it is possible to disable this function through a keyboard shortcut which, by the way, is backlit by LED.

The models’ chassis is made of aluminum alloy which contributes to their lightweight and slim design of just 14.9 millimeters, while also helping to keep hardware temperatures stable with two internal fans and grilles that optimize airflow.

Both have a unique memory configuration that combines 16GB of 6400MHz LPDDR5 RAM with 512GB SSD storage on 4th Gen PCI Express.

Battery and Connectivity

The RedmiBook Pro 14 has a 56 WHr battery that promises autonomy of up to 10 hours, although the manufacturer does not reveal under what conditions the notebook reaches this milestone. The Pro 15 sports a 72 Wh battery with up to 14 hours of autonomy.

The laptops offer a Thunderbolt 4 port for connecting external displays, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, and USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, plus an SD card slot, HDMI 2.0, and a P2 headphone jack. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 are supported.
