Samsung Galaxy Book Go and Book Go 5G Announced

Samsung unveiled new models of the Galaxy Book notebook line that should contribute to this scenario, as it requires more flexibility in the use of devices. The Galaxy Book Go and Galaxy Book Go 5G are the new additions to South Korea’s cost-effective notebook portfolio.

Both models have 14-inch TFT screens in Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) and integrate a 720p camera for high-quality video calls. Highlights include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platforms, based on the ARM architecture, which should promote greater efficiency and performance for these notebooks.

While the 4G/LTE model is equipped with the new generation Snapdragon 7c, which features a speed of 2.55GHz with 8 cores and support for HDR10 technology, the 5G variant works with the Snapdragon 8cx with X55 modem for connectivity to the farm’s network generation.

The processor works in conjunction with 4GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and offers options of 64GB or 128GB of flash storage memory (eUFS), widely used in the company’s top-of-the-line smartphones.

“PCs continue to enable our digital lives, helping us connect to our friends and family, work remotely, and find outlets for creativity and relaxation. The Galaxy Book Go series is built for today’s mobile-first users who expect seamless communication, sustained productivity, and immersive entertainment—all in one device. With the new addition to the Galaxy Book, Samsung offers wider options to our consumers to choose a device that best fits their needs.”

For connectivity with other devices, the notebooks feature two USB-C and one USB 2.0 ports, plus a 3.5mm headphone jack and microSD card reader slots, and a unique nano-SIM card reader for the Galaxy Book Go 5G.

Powering this hardware, a 42.3 Wh battery equips both devices with the promise of enough autonomy for a full day of use. The operating system is Windows 10 in Home or Pro versions. Its ultra-lightweight design allows it to weigh just 1.4 kg and measure 15 millimeters in its thickest area.
