Sony, Honda Join Hands to Launch Electric Car

Heated with the entry of new automakers, the electric car market should have a new model launched in the coming years. Thanks to the cooperation of the multinationals Sony and Honda in the development of a sustainable vehicle powered by electric energy instead of combustion or hybrid format.

While no company has made any major revelations about the project, data from the Sony Honda Mobility deal suggests that pre-sales for the electric car will only begin in the first half of 2025 and official sales at the end of that same year, meaning there is still a long way to go.

According to information, the joint venture between Sony and Honda aims to become a “Mobility Tech Company” by making a vast portfolio of products available to customers by mainly focusing on online sales format rather than physical store adoption, enabling the purchase of extra services to be used in the car.

Apparently, Sony will be responsible for supplying and developing the components that make up the level 3 driver assistance mechanism, while the Japanese manufacturer will be responsible for making the car’s chassis and battery.

For now, there are no details on the vehicle’s specifications, as the launch is still far from happening.
