Sony has announced a new camera dedicated to content producers (vloggers). The Sony ZV-E10 is made official with great customization possibilities and will inherit features from the predecessor model ZV-1, released last year.
With larger sensors, but keeping more compact dimensions, the ZV-E10 offers convenience to vloggers through tools such as shortcuts for autofocus and exposure adjustment, elements that demand greater precision in the camera’s processing.
The camera includes a touch-sensitive swivel screen that allows for good viewing over the user’s recording. There’s also a dedicated zoom lens lever with eight-speed options. A good digital zoom is possible by equipping the 24.2 MP sensor with variable ISO sensitivity of 100-32,000 and phase-detection autofocus.
The 1-inch APS-C sensor with an E-mount system offers compatibility with over sixty lenses, video recording at 4K resolution (30p), and slow-motion capture at Full HD resolution (120p).
The Sony ZV-E10 also features physical buttons that make it easy to change capture modes. There is a switch for Bokeh mode, which toggles the aperture to blur the background of the scene and bring out the focus object or user.
There’s also a 3.5mm microphone and headphone jack, plus a triple microphone system included, and support for live video streaming via USB connection for Android 11 phones. iOS.
A bigger size means a bigger battery. The new model promises to last up to 120 minutes when capturing video on a single charge. Representing a significant leap against the ZV-1, which offered just 45 minutes. Its 1,020 mAh battery, however, has reduced performance for the autonomy of only 30 minutes in 4K resolution captures.
