Switch to Android for iOS Now Supports All Android 12 Phones

Google’s “Switch to Android” app for iOS on the App Store so that users of the rival system can switch brands without losing the main files stored on the iPhone, such as photos, videos, phone numbers, and agenda appointments, for example. Despite being a useful tool, initially, the application allowed transferring iOS data only to Pixel line phones.

Now, this limitation is removed in the new update to version 1.0.12 on all phones running Android 12 regardless of brand. As stated in the application description, users can migrate from the system using a cable connection or connecting both devices on the same Wi-Fi network. Like Switch to Android, Apple also made available on the Play Store an application that allows you to carry out the reverse process: migrating from Android to iOS.

In both cases, it is possible to carry out the procedure at no cost, and it is recommended to create a local backup — on an external hard drive, flash drive, or computer — to be able to recover your data in case of failures in the file transfer process between Android and iOS or vice versa.
