The New Honor 70 Series Announced

Honor continues its renewal program with the new Honor 70 series launch. In addition to the basic model, simply called Honor 70 and equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G+, the Chinese brand has also unveiled the most complete Honor 70 Pro and Honor 70 Pro Plus that can count on a MediaTek SoC and some additions to the technical datasheet.

The series, for now, is launched only in China. As per tradition, the new smartphones just unveiled by Honor are already ready for marketing. Waiting for more details about a possible arrival in other regions, let’s see all the details on the specifications of the Honor 70 Series.

Honor 70 Specifications

The new Honor 70 has all the credentials to become a reference point in the mid-range of the market. The smartphone arrives on the market with a 6.67-inch diagonal OLED display. The panel is produced by BOE and can count on Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

There is an under-display fingerprint sensor. To manage the operation of the smartphone we find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC which is supported by 8/12 GB of RAM and 128/256/512 GB of storage. There is also a 4,800mAh battery with 66W fast charging support.

In the camera department, there is a triple camera setup at the rear with a 54-megapixel Sony IMX800 main sensor supported by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor for depth. Rounding out the specs is a 32-megapixel front camera.

Honor 70 Pro and Pro Plus Specifications

The new Honor 70 Pro and Pro Plus have many points in common, starting from the design and up to the technical datasheet which records only some small differences. Both smartphones can count on an OLED display made by BOE and characterized by a diagonal of 6.78 inches with Full HD+ resolution and with the possibility of exploiting a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz. The display integrates a hole for the front camera and covers a fingerprint sensor.

As for the photographic sector, we find, for both smartphones, three sensors. The main sensor is the same as seen on the Honor 70, namely the 54-megapixel Sony IMX800. To complete the configuration we find a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor with OIS support and 3x optical zoom. The front camera is 50 megapixels.

Under the body, however, Honor 70 Pro and Plus have a substantial difference: the SoC model. The Pro, in fact, can count on the MediaTek Dimensity 8000. For the Pro Plus, however, there is the Dimensity 9100.

To complete the equipment we find a maximum of 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM memory and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. As for the battery, however, we find a 4,600 mAh unit with support for fast charging from 100W. Also noteworthy is the support for 5W reverse charging.
