Supermassive and 2K Games have jointly announced a new horror game coming this summer, The Quarry. Supermassive is a developer known for games like Until Dawn and Dark Pictures, while 2K Games is a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive. Scheduled for release this summer, the game is described as “an unprecedented horror experience”.
Earlier this month, Supermassive Games registered The Quarry trademark, indicating that a new game was on the way. Now the project is officially revealed with a pretty mysterious teaser. Through social networks, we found out that the game will get a full trailer on the 17th, but from what you can see, the game must follow the standards of Supermassive, with the main focus on the narrative that develops according to the player’s choices.

Interestingly, the aesthetic of the teaser looks a lot like horror movies from the 80s, with a font reminiscent of Friday the 13th, and the full moon can also indicate werewolves.
In addition to The Quarry, Supermassive is also working on five more games in the Dark Pictures saga, which are being published by Bandai Namco.
