Team17 has announced the release of Worms WMD: Mobilize, a mobile-optimized version of the popular 2016 turn-based action strategy game, on Android and iOS devices. The original game introduced vehicles such as tanks, mobile armored walkers, and helicopters to dominate the battlefield, as well as classic weapons and items like the ninja rope.
The mobile version, available on the Play Store and App Store, includes improved mobile features like game invites via messaging platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook, and a larger user interface.
Worms WMD: Mobilize boasts a frame rate of up to 60 frames per second and features vehicles from the original game, such as the tank and mech, along with 50 weapons. The game includes a single-player mode with 10 training missions and 20 campaign missions, each with three additional objectives for replayability.
Both online and local multiplayer modes are available, allowing up to four teams of four Worms in local play and two teams of four Worms in online play. Players can customize their experience with over 100 hats, more than 40 sound banks, 15 victory dances, and over 30 gravestone varieties.
The game can be played using either on-screen virtual controls or a Bluetooth-enabled controller. Check out the trailer below.
