Xbox Game Pass Cloud Gaming Gets Backwards Compatibility Titles

The month of March comes to an end with yet another big announcement for the Xbox community. Microsoft reveals that its Xbox Game Pass Cloud Gaming will receive support for backward-compatible game titles from older consoles. Such as classic titles from the original Xbox and Xbox 360 that have already are available on the Game Pass.

The feature will be available to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers in regions that support Cloud Streaming, allowing players to enjoy unforgettable classics also via their smartphone.

“Today we’re embarking on a new journey for the backward compatibility program: Taking it to the cloud,” revealed the company today. “Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can now tap into a collection of favorites from the past in a whole new way — right on mobile devices, turning them into retro handheld game systems.

The initial list includes only 16 games to date, with titles such as Banjo-KazooieFable II, games from the Gears of War saga, Perfect DarkThe Elder Scrolls, and Viva Piñata.
