Xiaomi 12 Ultra Could Embrace 200MP Sensor and SD 895 SoC

According to previous rumors, Xiaomi has been working on a new smartphone with a 200MP sensor since the beginning of this year. New rumors leaked on Weibo suggest that the company may be using this camera in its next flagship smartphone, Xiaomi 12 Ultra.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra 5G launched in April with a 50MP main sensor, 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and 48MP telephoto lens. According to what was reported by the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi 12 Ultra could adopt a primary sensor from 200 MP.

The leaker also claims that the company will launch three new models in this range and that they will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 895 SoC. However, the most impressive feature will be the main camera.

Xiaomi 12 Ultra could therefore become the smartphone that offers the most megapixel camera on the market, as most of the devices reach 108 MP, including Samsung Galaxy S21.

Xiaomi also recently announced that it will remove the Mi brand from its products to standardize the brand’s presence globally. This change will begin in the third quarter of 2021, so we may start seeing it as early as next month when the company unveils new products at an event to be held on September 15th.
