EA Play Arrives to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on Android and Console

The Xbox Game Pass is one of Microsoft’s greatest assets, being the great differential of the company’s consoles in relation to the competition. Although not profitable in the short term, the Redmond giant believes in the potential of the service and is increasingly investing in games and benefits for its users.

Subscribers of the plan have already received three free months of Spotify Premium, in addition to two months of streaming anime Funimation, and are now about to earn another treat.

With an announcement in September, Microsoft established a partnership with EA to offer Game Pass Ultimate subscribers free access to EA Play, the company’s own service that brings together its main titles in one subscription. Right now, the service is available on Android and console, but the EA Play hits the desktop via the Xbox app and the new EA Desktop on December 15th.

More than 60 games from the developer will be available for the Xbox family, including Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Battlefield 5, Need for Speed Heat, FIFA 20, Titanfall 2 and more. In addition, Xbox Cloud Gaming, the Xbox game streaming for Android will receive seven titles from the company, with The Sims 4 and Dragon Age Inquisition among them.

Microsoft also confirmed that the benefit will also extend to Game Pass Ultimate users on the PC, but unfortunately those who use the service on the computer will have to wait a little longer.

Sarah Bond, CVP, Gaming Partnerships & Ecosystem said, “This will be a massive moment for gamers and we’re excited to bring it to life with Xbox Game Pass and the amazing franchises from Xbox Game Studios and our industry partners, on day one. As we announced last week, we now have more than 15 million Xbox Game Pass members from 41 countries. While we’ll continue to update the library with new games and provide great new perks for our Ultimate members, there are a couple of additions coming that I’m really excited about.”
