Honor Launches Play 20 Pro With MediaTek Helio G80

Honor has launched a new smartphone in the Chinese market destined to carve out its own place in the increasingly crowded and competitive mid-range market: we are talking about the Honor Play 20 Pro. It is a device whose marketing at the moment seems to be limited only to the Chinese market.

Honor Play 20 Pro Specifications

The Honor Play 20 comes with a 6.53-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and DCI-P3 color gamut support. It is driven by a MediaTek Helio G80 processor and can count on 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory (there are no details on the possible presence of a slot for the MicroSD).

The photographic compartment of the handset features a single 16-megapixel front camera and, on the back, a quadruple-camera with a 64-megapixel primary sensor, accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth.

Other features of Honor’s new mid-range smartphone include a fingerprint recognition sensor integrated into the screen, a 3,800 mAh battery with support for fast charging at 22.5 W (according to the manufacturer, it should be able to fully recharge in just over an hour), and two colors (black and white).

We await official information from Honor to find out if this phone will also be launched in other markets. According to rumors, it is likely that this could arrive in some Asian countries while it seems more difficult that Honor Play 20 Pro can also arrive in Europe. We’ll see.
