New PS5 Update Brings PS Remote Play Support to More Android Devices

Sony has started rolling out a new PS5 update that brings PS Remote Play support to more Android devices. The update is released globally and also includes support for the second controller assist feature. With PS Remote Play, you can stream games from your PS5 or PS4 console to another device – including smartphones and tablets (iOS and Android), PCs, and Macs.

This means that you can play your PS5 games on your phone, tablet, or computer even if you’re away from the living room. The PS Remote Play app will be available on devices running Android TV OS 12.

The new PS5 update adds support for the following Android devices:

  • Chromecast with Google TV (4K model)
  • Bravia XR A95L model of TV

This means that you can now use your Chromecast with Google TV or Bravia XR A95L TV to stream your PS5 games to the big screen.

The update also adds support for the second controller assist function, enabling remote control of your PS5 console with a second controller. This proves beneficial for dual-controller games or aiding others in gaming.

New Voice Command options (U.S. and U.K. limited release) and new PS app enhancements are also added to the update.
