HMD Global launches its first smartphone of the year 2023, the Nokia C12. The new phone is dedicated to those who want a basic smartphone. It comes with the Android 12 Go Edition, facial recognition, a 6.3-inch IPS screen housing a 5MP front camera, in addition to an expandable RAM option.
The processor is the Unisoc 9863A1 octa-core up to 1.6GHz aligned to 2 or 3 GB of RAM with additional virtual memory of 2 GB. The internal storage is 64 GB, which can be expanded via microSD up to 256 GB.
The phone offers an IP52 certification against the ingress of limited-range dust, harmful debris, and direct splashes of water up to 15 degrees from the vertical. Nokia also cites drop and bump protection.

HMD Global says it will launch the Nokia C12 in three colors in Europe in the coming weeks (Light Mint, Charcoal, and Dark Cyan).
