OnePlus 6 Confirmed to Come With a Display Notch, Gesture Control And Other Features

Soon after confirming the name of the next flagship device, Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 6 will have gesture control along with along with a slider for Do Not Disturb option. The company via short video teasers revealed these features on its official Facebook page.

The teaser for gesture control comes with the caption, “Speed up your experience with gestures. #OnePlus6”. Another video captioned, “Concentrate more with Do Not Disturb mode by sliding”.

It’s not confirmed yet what gestures will be used to perform various functions. However,  the Open Beta update for gesture control on the OnePlus 5T released a few months ago hints that the OnePlus 6 allow users to use gestures for returning to the screen, open the overview with open apps or go back.

A much similar gesture control can also be found in the iPhone X.

Another information about the OnePlus 6 emerged online is that it will come with a display notch, recently seen in a number of smartphones including the iPhone XOppo R15, R15 Dream Mirror Edition and the Vivo APEX Concept Phone.

It’s worth mentioning that previous week, Pete Lau who is the CEO of the OnePlus revealed the information about the display notch and for that many OnePlus fans were unhappy. We don’t see any issue with the display notch but don’t know why people are unhappy with this feature.

Even Carl Pei who is the co-founder of OnePlus explained the use of notch that it provides the users of the OnePus 6 with a very large screen space. Let’s wait and see the response it gets once it has been launched.
