RedmiBook Pro 14 and 15 Comes With AMD Ryzen Chips

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand seems to be on a launch drive as the company is launching a series of products. These include the Redmi Note 8 (2021), Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G, Redmi AirDots 3 Pro, and now the new RedmiBook Pro 14 and 15. The new RedmiBook Pro series comes with AMD Ryzen processors that are quite similar to those presented in February, with Intel chips.

RedmiBook Pro 14 and 15 Features

Starting with the screen, we have two options available. The model with a 15.6-inch display, and the model which has a 14-inch display. Both have 100% coverage of the sRGB range, a brightness of 300 nits. The 15-inch model offers a resolution of 3,200 x 2,000 pixels and 90Hz. The 14-inch model, on the other hand, brings 2,560 x 1,600 pixels resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate.

Talking about the processors in the Redmi notebook series, the Pro 15 comes in two chip options: a Ryzen 5 5600H (6c/12t) or Ryzen 7 5800H (8c/16t). Both based on the latest Zen 3 architecture and 35W TPD. The graphics are integrated, so here we have the new Radeon 7 and 8 respectively.

The Pro 14 can be purchased either with a Ryzen 5 5500U (6c/12t) or Ryzen 7 5700U (8c/16t). But both still use the Zen 2 architecture. Their TPD is 15W, in addition to this version having only one fan for cooling, while the 15 version has two for using H series CPUs.

As far as the RAM is concerned, we get 16GB DDR4 and 512GB SSD for all versions. In addition, the 14-inch model battery is 56 WHr with 65W fast charging. The 15.6-inch variant has 70 WHr with 100W and estimated duration of 14 hours for use in web browsing.

In the RedmiBook Pro series, you also get a fingerprint sensor on the connect button, which facilitates authentication via Windows Hello.
