Snapdragon 870 5G Chipset Announced

After announcing the Snapdragon 888 and 480 SoCs, Qualcomm today announced the Snapdragon 870 5G. It is a turbocharged version of the Snapdragon 865 Plus. Comes as a solution to “new demands brought by manufacturers and the market”, the company says. The SD 480 came a few days back to bring 5G connectivity in mid-range phones.

“Heavy-hitting performance backs the Snapdragon 870 5G, including our upgraded Qualcomm Kryo 585 CPU and the ultra-fast Qualcomm Adreno 650 GPU—delivering superb on-device experiences quickly and efficiently. And, the Qualcomm Sensing Hub provides always-on contextual awareness, so every interaction is smarter and more seamless.”
