TVS Introduces Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0, Competing With Pulsar NS200

TVS Motor, one of India’s leading motorcycle manufacturers, has launched its new model of Apache, the RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0 with the starting price of Rs 95,198 (ex-showroom, Delhi). TVS has given many new features such as the new Anti-Reverse torque slipper clutch and new graphics in the new Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0.

One of the most striking aspects of new Apache is the advanced Anti-Reverse torque slipper clutch (A-RT Slipper Clutch), which is also called Anti-Reverse torque unit. TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is the first motorcycle in which the company has given the slipper clutch. With the help of this, 22 percent less power is required to operate the clutch.

No changes have been made in the engine of the new Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0, but it is equipped with existing 197.5cc single-cylinder engine, which generates 20.21 bhp power in Carburetor variant and 21 bhp in EFI variant and both variants generate and 18.1 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM. In addition, both engine variants have been equipped with 5-speed gearbox technology.

The cost of Carburetor variant with the new Apache RTR 200 4V slipper clutch technology is priced at Rs 95,185, slipper-clutch variants with EFI engine is priced at Rs.1,79,885, while the variant of Carburetor with ABS is priced at Rs.1,08,985. All the prices given above are ex-showroom Delhi.

Talking about its competitors in India, the direct competition of the new Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0 will be from Bajaj’s Pulsar NS200.

The company launched TVS Apache RR 310 three months ago. After this TVS launched its sporty Scooter NTorq 125 in Auto Expo 2018 and now the news is that on March 14, TVS can also launch a new version of Apache RTR 160.
