2TB and 512GB Seagate Storage Expansion Cards for Xbox Series X|S

Earlier this month, Seagate and Microsoft announced a new Xbox Series storage expansion option, via a USB device. Previously, it was only possible to expand the console storage through a 1TB SSD card, which was quite expensive. Now, two new Seagate storage expansion cards announced for the Xbox Series X|S.

This announcement took everyone by surprise, as in addition to confirming the launch of the 512GB card, they also announced a 2TB option, for those who really don’t want to worry about storage management. The new launch brings a more affordable option for consumers. The product even appeared in some North American stores.

The 512GB version is now available for pre-order in the US for $139.99 and will be released in mid-November. The 2TB version, also scheduled for release in November, has already started pre-sales in the US, with a suggested price of US$399.99.

We still don’t know when or if these beauties will arrive here, but it’s good to see that Microsoft is giving consumers more choices.

How to Use the Seagate Storage Expansion Cards

You can use the Seagate Storage Expansion Cards just like any external storage solution. Just plug the card into the Storage Expansion port on the back of your Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S console and it’s ready to play.
