Intel Core i7 11700K and i9 11900K Appears on Geekbench

A couple of weeks back, the Intel Core i7 11700K appeared on Geekbench surpassing the Ryzen 7 5800X. Now again, the Intel Core i7 11700K and i9 11900K pops-up on Geekbench revealing some impressive points. Both are from the family of Rocket Lake CPUs.

At this point, the configurations of both chips are no longer surprising. We have 8 cores and 16 threads on both, with clocks being the main difference. While the i7 is limited to a base clock of 3.6GHz. With a boost of 5.0GHz and an all-core boost of 4.6GHz, the i9 goes further and brings a base clock of 3.5GHz, a boost of 5.3GHz, and an all-core 4.8GHz boost.

Both the Intel Core i7 11700K and i9 11900K must also require a robust power supply and cooling system, as they have a standard consumption set at 125W, but can reach no less than 250W in extended workloads. That said, the Rocket Lake models manage to bring a respectable gain in performance, as shown by the results of the Geekbench.

The 11th generation Intel Rocket Lake-S is expected to hit the market between March and April this year. While the new 500 series motherboards are due to debut. Users of high-end Z490 cards will have compatibility, however, considering that the LGA 1200 socket remains.
