Lenovo Legion R7000P and R9000P Gaming Laptops Announced

Lenovo has announced its new gaming notebooks in China. The Legion R7000P and Legion R9000P are the new machines for gamers looking for state-of-the-art hardware, fluid screens with high resolution, and a fair price.

The most basic of the releases is equipped with a 15.6-inch screen with 2K resolution (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) and a fluid refresh rate of 165 Hz. The display is calibrated to 100% of the sRGB color gamut, supports direct current dimming (DC dimming), and meets Dolby Vision specifications.

The Legion R7000P has options of up to 16GB of 4800MHz DDR5 RAM and works with SSD storage of up to 512GB. For high-end gaming processing, the notebook can be purchased with an AMD Ryzen 5 6600H or Ryzen 7 6800H with clocks up to 4.7 GHz and a total cache of up to 16 MB.

Other specs include an 80 Whr battery to ensure good autonomy away from the outlet, support for Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth, and a connection interface that offers three USB-C ports, three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, HDMI 2.1, Ethernet, and input for P2 headphones.

The Legion R9000P has a large 16-inch display with a resolution of over 2K (2,560 x 1,600 pixels), a refresh rate of 165 Hz, and an advantageous peak brightness of 500 nits. More powerful, this display supports HDR, AMD FreeSync, and NVIDIA G-Sync, and like the R7000P, has DC dimming and meets Dolby Vision specifications.

No changes in the memory, cooling, and battery department, another big difference from this gaming laptop is the possibility of purchasing it with a GeForce RTX 3060 or RTX 3070 Ti graphics card. These units will work in conjunction with the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H.
