OnePlus Buds Pro Announced At a Competitive Price Tag

After inviting select users to test their new true wireless headsets, OnePlus finally announced its new truly wireless earbuds “OnePlus Buds Pro”. The company also details the features, pricing, and release date of its “most advanced audio devices”.

The Chinese manufacturer published a teaser that showcases the functionality of the new accessories, including instant pairing and the ability to create an audio profile through the OnePlus Audio ID app. Check out the official OnePlus Buds Pro teaser below.

For the design, the headphones don’t deviate from the standard when implementing chrome temple finishes. But it is notable that the look is more distinct from Apple’s AirPods, probably due to the embarrassing episode that occurred in September of last year.

OnePlus Buds Pro Features

The new OnePlus Buds supports Dolby ATMOS with 11mm dynamic drivers, plus Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and a gaming-optimized mode that drops accessory latency to 94 ms.

The Chinese disclose a feature dubbed “Smart Adaptive Noise Cancellation”, described as an intelligent active noise cancellation that automatically adjusts to ambient noise, providing an immersive experience with the ANC from 15 db to 40 db.

Data provided by the manufacturer say that, including charging the case with 520 mAh, the headphones — with 40 mAh batteries — run up to 28 hours with ANC on and up to 38 hours with ANC off, and support Qi wireless charging.

Other Buds Pro specs include IP55 certification, ensuring protection against splashing water and sweat; LHDC audio codec support; and custom audio profile creation via OnePlus Audio ID on smartphones from the manufacturer or the HeyMelody app on other models.

Pricing and Availability

OnePlus Buds Pro will be available globally from September 1st in two colors: black or white. The launch price will be US$149.
