Oreo Update for Galaxy S8, S8+ & Note 8 in the US to Roll Out Soon

Android Oreo on Galaxy S8/+ and Note 8

We’ve just got the news for Samsung Galaxy S8/+ and Note 8 users in the US regarding the Android Oreo update. According to a post from a Samsung moderator on the company’s official US forum, the Oreo update will be rolled-out soon.

However, the post didn’t mention the exact date of the upcoming Oreo release, but it did say the roll-out to begin within the next 2-3 weeks.

The moderator wrote, “Just wanted to provide an update on the upcoming Android Oreo release for Galaxy S8/+ and Note 8. We know that many of you are super pumped to upgrade to the newest operating system, and we can’t wait to get it into your hand! We’re working hard to ensure we provide you with the best possible experience for your device no matter what carrier or network you use.”

The Carrier models are seeing the updates first and the reason told for this is that Carrier-specific devices are made to handle that one network so their tests are limited but on the other hand, unlocked devices go through more rigorous testing because the company need to make sure there is proper network functionality across all supported networks.
