Samsung Galaxy A72 Design Confirmed by Dummy Model

Confirming what we’ve seen a few days back in the leaked renders, a new dummy model reveals the Samsung Galaxy A72 design. This is the successor of a highly appreciated smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy A71. The phone will be launched soon, maybe after the Galaxy S21 series launch event.

Samsung Galaxy A72 Design

We refer to images and a video that shows us an aluminum dummy of the Samsung Galaxy A72 5G. It reveals that there will be four camera sensors at the rear (five holes are visible but one could be used for the flash).

As for the alleged design of the Galaxy A72, these images suggest that it may be similar to what seen in Galaxy S20. Characterized by slightly rounded corners, confirming what has already emerged last month.

The volume and power buttons are located on the right side of the phone, while the left side is empty. At the bottom, there is a 3.5 mm audio jack, a hole for the microphone, USB port Type-C and the speaker grille.

Unfortunately at the moment, there is no information on when Samsung could officially launch its new mid-range smartphone. But, also according to what is the timing usually followed by the company, the wait should not last very long.

Samsung Galaxy A72 Possible Specifications

Not much is known about the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy A72 at this point. However, earlier leaks have shed some light on that too. The phone to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720 chipset and it will have 6GB and 8GB RAM variants. It is not yet clear whether Samsung will use one of its in-house Exynos chipsets for specific countries.

Rumors have also said that one of the cameras will be a 64MP sensor and the phone will have both 4G and 5G variants, presumably meant for different markets. With a 6.7-inch display, a selfie camera with a perforated grid is also expected.

Samsung Galaxy A72 Price and Launch Date

There is no official word from Samsung on the launch date of Galaxy A72. But it is launching the Galaxy S21 flagship series on January 14 instead of the usual March launch. So we can assume that the phone should also arrive before its usual launch schedule, in March of this year. It is possible that Samsung will keep the secret and make it part of its MWC portfolio. The phone is expected to be priced between $ 600-700 for the 5G variant, while the 4G version is expected to be cheaper at $ 500-600.
