Samsung Electronics today announced the Galaxy brand mobile notebook PCs under the Galaxy Book Pro Series, “Samsung Galaxy Book Pro” and “Galaxy Book Pro 360.” The Galaxy Book Pro 360, as the name suggests is a convertible 2in1 display that opens and closes 360 degrees.
It is compatible with the familiar stylus pen “S Pen” in the smartphone “Galaxy Note” series. The Galaxy Book Pro is a clamshell-style mobile notebook PC that weighs less than 900g on the 13.3-inch model. In addition, both models are also characterized by adopting Display HDR 500 compatible organic EL for the display.

Galaxy Book Pro 360 Features
The Galaxy Book Pro 360 is a convertible 2in1 display that opens and closes 360 degrees. A model with a 13.3-inch display and a 15.6-inch is available. The thickness of the main body inevitably increases due to the mechanism, and the weight tends to be heavier. However, the Galaxy Book Pro 360 is 11.5mm for the 13.3-inch model and 11.9mm for the 15.6-inch model, which is less than 12mm thin.
The 13.3-inch model weighs 1.04 kg (Wi-Fi model) or 1.10 kg (5G model), and the 15.6-inch model weighs 1.39 kg, which is as light as a clamshell mobile notebook PC. On top of that, it also has excellent robustness that passes durability tests such as drop, vibration, dustproof, humidity, and altitude that comply with the procurement standard “MIL-STD-810G” set by the US Department of Defense.
Both the 13.3-inch model and the 15.6-inch model use an organic EL panel “Super AMOLED” for the display. The display resolution is Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 dots), supports HDR display compliant with DisplayHDR 500, the contrast ratio is 1,000,000: 1, and the response speed is 0.2 ms or less.
In addition to supporting touch operations, the display can also be used for pen input using the stylus pen “S Pen” included with the product, and pen-compatible apps such as “Samsung Notes” are also available.
The device is equipped with AKG brand high-quality speakers and is capable of Dolby Atmos-compatible surround sound playback, allowing you to enjoy video content with high-quality and powerful sound in combination with an organic EL display.
The keyboard is equipped with a “Pro Keyboard” with a built-in backlight that enhances typing comfort. By optimizing the switch with a curved key top, a comfortable keystroke feeling is realized and quietness during typing is also improved. A large touchpad is also installed in front of the keyboard, and it is said that it realizes excellent operability together with the Pro Keyboard.
The processor adopts Tiger Lake 11th generation Core and is compliant with the Intel Evo platform. The memory is 8GB / 16GB for the 13.3-inch model and 8GB / 16GB / 32GB for the 15.6-inch model. The internal storage uses PCIe / NVMe SSD, and the maximum capacity is 1TB.
The communication function is equipped with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 as standard. It also supports Wi-Fi 6E, which uses the 6GHz band, and only the 13.3-inch model will have a 5G-compatible wireless WAN-equipped model.
As for ports, the 13.3-inch model has a USB Type-C, Thunderbolt 4, and microSD card slot on the left side, and a SIM card tray (5G compatible model only), USB Type-C, and audio jack on the right side. The 15.6-inch model has USB Type-C and Thunderbolt 4 on the left side, and a microSD card slot, USB Type-C, and audio jack on the right side.
The power button is integrated with a fingerprint authentication sensor. It also has a Secret Screen function that narrows the viewing angle of the display to prevent peeping from the left and right, and a security function that takes a picture of the operator with a Web camera and sends it to the registration email when an unauthorized login is attempted.
The built-in battery capacity is 63Wh for the 13.3-inch model and 68Wh for the 15.6-inch model. Quick charging is possible using the included 65W small AC adapter, and a general-purpose USB PD compatible AC adapter can also be used.
The main body size is 302.5 x 202 x 11.5 mm (width x depth x height) for the 13.3-inch model and 354.85 x 227.97 x 11.9 mm (same as above) for the 15.6-inch model. The Galaxy Book Pro 360 is available in three colors: Mystic Navy, Mystic Silver, and Mystic Bronze.
Galaxy Book Pro Features and Specifications
